Music & Media Forum
Music and Media held its inaugural meeting on January 19 and 20 in New York City. We're pleased to post the final report from the Music & Media Forum prepared for us by the event's facilitator, Global Business Network. The short version of the report includes the narrative only; the long version includes a list of meeting organizers and participants, key findings from the web survey conducted with the attendees, and additional notes from the Forum. We have also added the pre-Forum interviews with Marcia Alvar, Chris Anderson, Kevin Arnold, and Robert Levine, each of whom provided different perspectives about the issues shaping music and media.

As you'll read, there is no doubt that we discovered a true need for aggregated work around building audiences for classical, jazz, world and alternative musics—all of which has continued to energize us.

Thank you once again for taking the time to participate in Music & Media’s new, uncharted waters. We are especially grateful to the National Endowment for the Arts, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and our charter sponsors for your confidence and support.

The M&M steering committee is meeting this month to determine our work in the next year. We invite you to stay in touch with us and let us know how the discussions in January are affecting your work today.
